Laboratory Screening and Confirmation Testing Available
After receiving numerous requests from our clients, we are happy to announce that we now offer testing for the presence of Fentanyl in urine specimens. This standalone test can be added on to any standard panel test requested.
Fentanyl was first synthesized in the 19060s as a synthetic opioid analgesic under the trade name Demerol (also known as meperidine). Fentanyl is approximately 100 times more potent than Morphine and 50 times more than that of pharmaceutical-grade pure heroin. Fentanyl is available in a number of different preparations; transdermal patch, lollipop, pill, and liquid forms. The most commonly abused form is the transdermal patch that is either worn, harvested for the gel which is then orally ingested, or cut into small pieces and smoked. Click for more information.
Standard collection procedures and volume apply and the test is available for both Fentanyl and the Norfentanyl metabolite.
